About
Dr.聽Xiaoguang聽Ma聽received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University. Before joining 91福利导航 鈥 Platteville, he worked as the Communication Architect at ABB Inc., a global leader in power and automation technologies,聽where he focused on the implementation of industrial communication protocols, e.g. DNP3, Modbus, IEC61850, IEEE 5188v2, HSR/PRP, and etc, in medium voltage products and systems. He also led research and development projects in communication and cyber security in the R&D Department of the EPMV ABB Lake Mary Office in Florida.
His patent 鈥淧arallel Redundancy Protocol over Wide Area Networks,鈥澛爓hich聽was granted聽in 2018, helps聽extend聽the parallel redundancy protocol (PRP) to wide area networks with full compatibility with the unmodified PRP standard.
Currently, Dr. Ma teaches undergraduate engineering courses in computer engineering emphasis and continues his research in industrial communication networks.
